— A soldier from central Missouri who died in an accident in Kuwait will receive a military funeral this weekend.

The Department of Defense says McClure and a soldier from San Diego died in the accident. The two were honored Thursday at a memorial service in Fort Carson, Colo., where they were based.

The Columbia Daily Tribune reports McClure will be buried this weekend in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Fort Leonard Wood.

McClure joined the Army in 2011 and his first deployment was in February to Kuwait.

Services are planned for 10 a.m. Saturday at the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville, with a military burial at Fort Leonard Wood.
