An Independence man committed multiple sex crimes involving a 12-year-old child and so dominated his household that he insisted everyone call him “master,” according to criminal charges filed Wednesday.

Morgan Lee Littleton, 31, was charged in Jackson County Circuit Court with four counts of first-degree statutory sodomy, two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and four counts of second-degree domestic assault.

According to court records, Littleton had deviate sexual intercourse with the child on numerous occasions in the past six months. Witnesses told authorities that some of the sexual assaults had been videotaped.

Littleton and two women who lived with him shared an “alternative lifestyle,” according to court records. The women called him “master” and were beaten if they used his real name, witnesses told police.

One of the women, 31, met with authorities Monday and said that Littleton had grabbed her, squeezed her throat, slammed her against a wall and slapped her three times because there was no sugar in his coffee.

The other woman told authorities that Littleton once slapped her and threw a cigarette at her, also because of problems with his coffee. She said Littleton had threatened to kill them and bury them in the backyard.

Littleton denied the allegations, according to court documents.
