Updated: 2013-04-30T21:03:52Z

Beginning in late spring, the Johnson County Nutrition Program will provide at-home meals for seniors who have been recently released from the hospital.

The Home Nutrition Program is the first of its kind in Kansas and is paid for by a $50,000 grant from the Meals On Wheels Association of America and the Walmart Foundation, one of seven awarded around the country. The meal service will be provided through Meals on Wheels.
