Overland Park man critically injured in moped crash

An Overland Park man is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after crashing his moped on Saturday afternoon.

The man, 62, has not been identified. Witnesses told police the he was traveling south in the 9500 block of Nall Avenue just before 4 p.m. when the moped began to wobble. The man reportedly lost control and was ejected from the moped when it fell to the ground, according to a news release from the Overland Park Police Department.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash. Witnesses told police that the man wasn’t speeding or driving erratically when the crash occurred. Police are investigating.
