Updated: 2013-04-28T02:27:37Z

Two suspects were in custody Saturday after they allegedly stole two vehicles in Platte County and led authorities on a multi-county pursuit.

Platte County Sheriff's Department spokesman Capt. Erik Holland said about 2 p.m. deputies received reports of two incidents of stolen vehicles from residences in the north portion of the county.

A third car, driven by a relative of the owner of one of the stolen vehicles, chased the suspects into Buchanan County, a sheriff’s spokesman in that county said, until one of the drivers crashed his vehicle. The driver reportedly fired shots at the relative.

Now in one car, the two suspects were pursued into Atchison County, Kan., and finally arrested there.
