Boulevard Brewing Co. is rebranding its award-winning Boulevard Pilsner.

This morning the company announced that it is changing the name and packaging of its premium American lager. It will now be called KC Pils and sold in the same bottle and packaging as the brewery’s other core beers, including its Unfiltered Wheat Beer, Pale Ale, 80-Acre Hoppy Wheat Beer, Single-Wide I.P.A., and Bully! Porter.

Brewery officials weren’t available for comment on the changes.

Boulevard Pilsner, which was honored with the 2010 World Beer Cup “Gold” – American-Style Specialty Lager/Classic & Pre-Prohibition Style Pilsner, is described as 100 percent malt, real hop character, unpasteurized. Boulevard calls it “the taste of tradition.”
