Chiefs offensive linemen Jeff Allen and Donald Stephenson will serve as honorary officials for the NASCAR Sprint Cup STP 400 on Sunday at Kansas Speedway.

Stephenson, a product of Blue Springs High School and the University of Oklahoma, is in his second year as an offensive tackle with the Chiefs and started seven games as a rookie.

“Growing up in Kansas City, everyone always was either at Arrowhead or the race track and now I get to experience the best of both,” said Stephenson.

Allen, a second-round draft pick from Illinois, started 13 games last season at guard.

“There are a lot comparisons between the NFL and NASCAR, and I look forward to seeing the teamwork and energy with the drivers, pit crews, and crew chiefs,” Allen said.
