Roberts dairy products to switch to Hiland brand name in May

Updated: 2013-04-11T21:31:50Z

Roberts Dairy will begin selling and marketing its milk and other dairy products under the Hiland Dairy Foods label starting in May.

“The only thing changing is the label on the package,” said Gary Aggus, president and general manager of Hiland Dairy in Springfield, Mo.

Roberts has been a division of Prairie Farms-Hiland Dairy since 1981. Roberts was started in Omaha in 1906.

Hiland, which has been serving the Midwest for more than 75 years, said the decision was made to operate under one name for its entire 11-state distribution area that includes Kansas and Missouri. Hiland said the name change will not affect existing staff, plant operations or other facilities.
