A Johnson County sheriff’s deputy was charged today with several felony crimes that allegedly occurred while he was off duty.
A spokesman for the sheriff’s office said in a written statement that the deputy, Erin Bradley Rogers, was placed on administrative leave in January when officials learned of the allegations.
An ensuing investigation led to Rogers’ arrest on felony charges of aggravated battery and aggravated assault, and misdemeanor counts of child endangerment and battery. Online records show that Rogers, 45, was being held in jail late Wednesday afternoon on a $25,000 bond.
The sheriff’s office said the incidents allegedly occurred “over a period of time” and did not involve members of the public. Court records do not show an attorney for Rogers.
