Kansas man drowns after stumbling into Lake Taneycomo near Branson

A 66-year-old Princeton, Kan., man drowned Wednesday when he stumbled while fishing at Lake Taneycomo.

Robert J. Rossman was fishing about 11:30 a.m. near Mile Marker 22 on the lake near Branson, Mo., when he fell into the water, according the the Missouri Highway Patrol.

Rossman’s son and a bystander pulled him from the water. Rossman was not wearing a safety device, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol.
