Adult-themed bed-and-breakfast in Parkville closes and will be sold

Updated: 2013-03-29T11:54:12Z

The Romantic Getaway Today Inn near Parkville’s historic downtown is no more, and the property has been put up for sale.

Janet Byers had taken over the bed-and-breakfast at 702 East St. in January 2012.

The inn became the talk of the town when racy marketing sparked rumors about what was taking place in the house. The telephone for the bed-and-breakfast, which Byers had been leasing, has been disconnected, and its website is no longer functioning.

It closed in mid-February, and the owners have put the property up for sale, said Mila Blurton of Reece & Nichols.

The five-bedroom, six-full-bath Victorian house is listed on the Reece & Nichols website for an asking price of $310,000.
