A group of Chiefs officials, including general manager John Dorsey and coach Andy Reid, are headed to Texas A&M today for a private workout with offensive tackle Luke Joeckel. This is hardly the only private workout the Chiefs will put a draft prospect through, but it appears to be the next step in the Chiefs’ preparation to take Joeckel with the No. 1 pick in the April 25-27 NFL Draft.

Then again, given that Dorsey and Reid have pulled off more than a few player surprises since their arrival, they may have something else in mind with that pick.
