Parallel Parkway crash victim identified as 90-year-old KCK woman

Police identified the driver killed in a multi-vehicle head-on collision Tuesday in Kansas City, Kan., as Thelma J. Hedge, 90, of Kansas City, Kan.

Two other people suffered minor injuries in a late-afternoon crash in the 9100 block of Parallel Parkway, police said.

The wreck occurred after one vehicle headed into oncoming traffic at a high rate of speed, police said. Traffic investigators were continuing to investigate.
