Theres a protocol in spring training (like there is with most things in most places), and its an unwritten rule that big-league players, especially veteran big-league players, get to park closest to the clubhouse.

Perhaps it needs to be written down but, no matter, pitchers James Shields and Jeremy Guthrie donned parking attendant vests Wednesday morning to direct minor-league players into the proper areas.
Just having a little fun, Shields said. There was no certain person. It was just, `Hey, have a little respect for the big-league guys. It was a team camaraderie-type thing. Wed like to have a little fun around here.
