A 60-year-old New Florence, Mo., man drowned when he slipped off a dock while boarding a boat and fell into the Lake of the Ozarks.

Dennis A. Duchek fell into the water about 9:10 a.m. Monday at a dock in the Jennings Branch Cove.
Duchek, who was not wearing a life jacket, did not resurface.
Divers with the Missouri Highway Patrols Water Patrol Division recovered his body. He was pronounced dead at the scene at about 5:10 p.m. Monday.
This is the first drowning for the Missouri Highway Patrols Troop F, which patrols 13 counties in central Missouri.
