The third ward is also represented by Ann Darr.
Bloemker wants to focus on the future of Smithville and create a more long-term plan to deal with anticipated growth. She especially wants to work to maintain the aging infrastructure so the city is prepared for the rise in population.

Stances: Her priorities are to work with community and business leaders to create a 20-year strategic plan for projected growth in the area, and expanding and enhancing things such as parks and Smithville Lake. She said as the city is expected to keep growing it’s important that there is a focus on maintaining aging infrastructure.
