Purse-snatcher strikes near Plaza
March 18
No one was hurt in the 12:15 a.m. holdup at 4730 Summit Street, just west of the Country Club Plaza.
The 30-year-old victim told police she noticed two men in a white Hyundai watching her walk through the parking garage after she returned home. As she approached the doors to her building, the car pulled up, and a passenger jumped out holding a black handgun. He pushed the woman against the door, pointed the gun at her head and demanded her purse. After she gave it to him, he fled in the Hyundai.
Detectives planned to review video surveillance from the garage for clues.
Anyone with information should call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (474-8477).
