Police identify woman’s body found in snow

The Jackson County Medical Examiner ruled her death a homicide, police said. Investigators declined to release the cause of death.
Police said the medical examiner was unable to determine exactly how long her body had been at the scene, near Raytown Road and Eastern Avenue, because recent cold weather could have preserved the body.
Her relatives, who live out of town, last spoke with her on Feb. 9. They reported her missing on Feb. 21 after repeatedly failing to reach her. Vazquez had several children, police said, but they lived with someone else.
Anyone with information is asked to call 816-474-TIPS.
