JEFFERSON CITY — The Missouri attorney general’s office says two Nevada companies have agreed to pay the state $41,500 in penalties for violating the state’s no-call law for telemarketers.
Attorney General Chris Koster said Monday his office received more than 175 complaints about Firebrand Group S.L. and Worldwide Commerce Associates, which called consumers to pitch cruise packages and tax services.
Koster says the companies have also agreed to stop calling Missouri residents who are on the state’s no-call list.
The list is maintained by the attorney general’s office for Missouri residents who want to make their phone numbers off-limits to telemarketers.
