Standoff in east KC after man drags woman, shots fired

Kansas City police have surrounded a home in the 8700 bock of East Seventh Street after reports of violence.

Neighbors reported shortly before 8 p.m. they heard a man and a woman arguing. Police arrived and saw the man drag the woman into the residence. Then they heard gunshots.

Police made contact with the man, who was uncooperative. An Operation 100 was called.
