LAWRENCE Three Kansas seniors had big games on Senior Night.
Carolyn Davis scored a game-high 27 points and pulled down 11 rebounds, Angel Goodrich had 12 assists and Monica Engelman added 14 points and six rebounds as the Jayhawks took a 74-67 win over TCU on Tuesday.
Davis had the 23rd double-double of her career, and Goodrich topped her previous season high for assists.
The Jayhawks, 17-12 overall and 8-10 in the Big 12, also got a career-best 15 points from Markisha Hawkins, a junior who was making her first start.
TCU controlled the pace early, but with 8 minutes, 4 seconds left in the first half, Bunny Williams got a pass from Goodrich and made in a layup that started a Kansas 14-4 run over 5:34. The spurt ended with the Jayhawks ahead 33-30, their first lead of the game. Kansas led 37-36 at halftime, and it never trailed after Engelman hit a three-pointer for a 60-57 lead with 5:47 to play.
Kansas and TCU, 9-20 and 2-16, will meet again in the Big 12 tournament at 8:30 p.m. Friday at American Airlines Center in Dallas.
