A professional trade association designed to assist persons who are self-employed in the advertising and marketing industry is celebrating a decade of networking.

The Freelance Exchange of Kansas City will hold an anniversary party beginning at 5 p.m. Thursday, March 7, at Howl at the Moon, 1334 Grand Blvd. The event is free for members and $10 for nonmembers.

The group holds regular meetings throughout the year, focused on providing support for freelance graphic designers, copywriters, photographers, account managers, media buyers and planners, illustrators, videographers and related professionals.
