— Missouri senior forward Alex Oriakhi has been rewarded for his big week.

Oriakhi, who averaged 18 points, 6.5 rebounds and three blocks in wins over South Carolina and Louisiana State last week, was named the Southeastern Conference player of the week on Monday.

The 6-foot-9, 255-pound Oriakhi, who is averaging 11.1 points and 8.7 rebounds this season, has come on strong of late, averaging 17.3 points and 9.3 rebounds in Missouri's last three games.

Oriakhi recorded his tenth double-double of the season in the win against LSU on Saturday, giving him the most for a Tiger since Linas Kleiza also had 10 during the 2004-05 season.
