Police say 1-year-old girl abducted in Springfield is back home

A 1-year-old girl who was abducted Saturday afternoon has been located and returned to her family, according to Springfield police.

The child, Harmony J. Blue, was taken about 1:30 p.m. from the Save-a-Lot Store at 1117 E Commercial St. by a white female with blond hair driving a stolen gray 2002 Nissan Maxima.

The stolen vehicle had a Missouri tag, YG6K5R. Another child was inside the vehicle when it was stolen but was dropped off later at another location, police said.

The child was not related to the woman. No new details were immediately available and police were continuing to investigate the incident.
