Independence plans shut-down for snowstorm

All Independence municipal offices and facilities will be closed Tuesday.

No meals will be served at the Palmer Center, 218-A. N. Pleasant St.

All court sessions for the Independence Municipal Court also have been cancelled. To obtain information regarding rescheduled court dates call 816-325-7235 or 816-325-7239.

City bus operators plan to continue regular service through Monday. Both IndeBus and the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority will provide notice through their websites if they change to a snow route plan or suspend scheduled service.

Finally, the Independence City Council study session scheduled for Monday night has been canceled.
