Driver dies in Prairie Village crash

Prairie Village police are investigating a fatal crash early this morning at 67th Street and Roe Avenue.

The accident was reported at 2:05 a.m. The victim’s name has not been released.

According initial reports, a Suzuki Forenza was traveling south on Roe Avenue when the driver lost control and left the roadway. The vehicle struck a large tree at a high rate of speed and was disabled.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no passengers in the vehicle, police said.
