But Thompson said today at the NFL Scouting Combine that he sent Dorsey away without any parting advice.
John doesnt need my advice, Thompson said. I saw him earlier today. Hes going a million miles an hour because hes trying to get up to speed and he and (new Chiefs coach Andy Reid) both are both really good football people. Ive worked with both of them and the Chiefs are in good hands. I promise you on that. I havent given him any real advice other than to be himself.
The NFL is a tough business. Everybody knows it, and the higher you get, the tougher it gets. John knows that. He knows whats going on in the real world. But theyll do a good job. Thats a good group.
