Greetings from the NFL Scouting Combine

— No snow here yet (it’s on the way), but the NFL’s Scouting Combine will be getting underway today at Lucas Oil Stadium, so there is some excitement on that front.

The guy the Chiefs will take with the No. 1 pick in April’s NFL Draft is here and, to cover the bases, I’ll be taking to all of them as next few days unfold. Several players from Kansas and Missouri colleges, including one from Missouri Western and another from Missouri Southern, will be showing off for NFL scouts and Andy Reid and John Dorsey will be speaking to the reporters (Reid today, Dorsey tomorrow), so there’s also that.

Then there’s Scott Pioli, the former Chiefs general manager. He was the one of the first people I came across after entering the building today. He’s here for his various new jobs, including one for SiriusXM radio. I hope to catch up with him later.
