Authorities find father who escaped Wyco courthouse carrying baby
February 19
Robert E. Ingram ran from the courtroom with a baby in his arms March 2 after a judge revoked his probation in a drug case and ordered him into custody.
Outside, he climbed in the passenger seat of a waiting car and escaped.
The baby was found safe later that day.
Prosecutors subsequently charged Ingram, 24, with a felony count of aggravated escape from custody.
His sister was charged with aiding the escape. She recently was placed on diversion, according to court records.
Lt. Kelli Bailiff of the Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Office said Ingram was arrested just before noon today at a residence in Kansas City, Kan.
