J.M. Smucker Co. is lowering the price of most of its packaged coffee products sold in the U.S. an average of 6 percent.
The food producer said the reduced prices are mostly for items sold under the Folgers and Dunkin’ Donuts brands.
The cuts do not apply to coffee sold in restaurants.
Higher gas prices
Prices at gasoline pumps nationwide have climbed for 32 consecutive days to four-month highs.
The national retail gasoline price has risen 43 cents, or 13 percent, to $3.73 a gallon since Jan. 17, the Automobile Association of America said.
In the Kansas City area, AAA said prices as of Tuesday averaged $3.67 a gallon on the Missouri side and $3.74 in Kansas.
