Kansas City police investigate possible homicide on city’s East Side

Kansas City police are investigating a possible homicide after a body was found in the grass this morning on the city’s East Side.

Someone called 911 about 7:45 a.m. to report a man’s body on the ground near a foot bridge near East 29th Terrace and Oakley Avenue.

Staff from the Jackson County Medical Examiner’s office was at the scene this morning, but a cause of death had not been determined.
