Ramps linking westbound Interstate 435 and northbound U.S. 69 will still be closed until 3:30 p.m. today while crews work on a bridge at the intersection. The work that had been planned for Wednesday is postponed.
Today, crews have closed the ramps from westbound I-435 to southbound U.S. 69 and from northbound U.S. 69 to westbound I-435.
Construction crews are installing girders for the new ramp bridge for the southbound U.S. 69 to College Boulevard exit. The new bridge spans eastbound and westbound I-435.
Kansas Department of Transportation officials are warning drivers to expect delays during the bridge work in Overland Park.
Traffic that normally takes the ramp from westbound I-435 to southbound U.S. 69 will detour today via northbound U.S. 69 to westbound 103rd Street to southbound U.S. 69.
Traffic that normally takes northbound U.S. 69 to westbound I-435 will detour via westbound 103rd Street to southbound U.S. 69 to westbound I-435.
