Topeka murder suspect may be in Gardner area

A man suspected in a double shooting that killed one person in Topeka on Wednesday is reported to have had an address in Gardner, the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department said.

Michael Dean Engstrom, 33, is a suspect in a shooting that left a man dead and a woman injured near downtown Topeka, according to The Topeka Capital-Journal. Engstrom was last seen accompanied by a 34-year-old woman who weighs 350 pounds and a 14-year-old girl in a white, four-door 2009 Ford Focus.

Engstrom is described as 6-feet-5-inches tall and weighing 250 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark jacket and blue jeans.
