Former Miss Missouri competes on ‘Survivor’

Updated: 2013-02-11T17:50:40Z

A former Miss Missouri will be among the competitors on the new season of “Survivor,” starting Wednesday. She’s Hope Driskill, 23, of Jefferson City, who was the 2011 Miss Missouri and graduated with honors from Mizzou last year.

In her bio she says she signed on because “I want to win the money to pay for law school and keep life exciting.”

Why she thinks she’ll win? “I am a nice Midwestern girl that competitors will like and see as non-threatening, but I have an underlying competitive drive to win.

This season, called “Survivor: Caramoan — Fans vs. Favorites,” pits favorite players from past seasons against die-hard fans of the show. Returnees include Andrea Boehlke, Francesca Hogi, Phillip Sheppard and Erik Reichenbach.

It airs at 7 p.m. Wednesday on CBS.
