DUI saturation patrol planned for Overland Park

Police will conduct a saturation patrol tonight in Overland Park looking for people who are driving drunk.

The special enforcement effort will begin at 10 p.m. and run until 2 a.m. Saturday.

Traffic Safety officers will patrol the city looking for drivers who appear to be impaired. Drivers suspected of drunken driving will be asked to perform a series of field sobriety tests.

Officers assigned to the saturation patrol will also look for drivers who are under the influence of prescription or illegal drugs.
