Updated: 2013-02-08T18:36:21Z

Wal-Mart has bought property in Olathe’s Brentwood Plaza Shopping Center and plans to open one of its neighborhood markets on the site.

Wal-Mart officials did not return phone calls and no opening date was available for the 41,179-square-foot store at 151st and Brentwood streets.

The center has such tenants as QuikTrip, Arby’s and Taco John’s, and is across from Garmin Ltd.

Kimberly Tranbarger of Colliers International handled the negotiations for the seller of the property.
