First half

•  Key play: A jump hook by center Alex Oriakhi ignited a 11-2 run that helped Missouri cut a double-digit deficit to 36-30 at halftime.

•  Key stat: MU had nine first-half turnovers.

Second half

•  Key play: Texas A&M guard Fabyon Harris made a game-winning, three-pointer with 11 seconds left.

•  Key stat: MU made 22 of 24 free throws.

Tough game for Bowers

Senior forward Laurence Bowers had seven points and one rebound in only 12 minutes. Coach Frank Haith said his lack of minutes had nothing to do with injuries.

“He had a tough time defending those guys in the paint,” Haith said. “They were very physical, and the way the game was being played, we needed a bigger body. Tony (Criswell) and Alex (Oriakhi) did a better job there defensively.”

Haith, however, said the Tigers need to do better on defense, as a whole.

“We’ve got to be better on the defensive end,” Haith said. “We’ve got to have a little more sense of urgency.”
