Truck hits stranded motorist on I-70; westbound lanes shut down

A tractor-trailer truck struck a motorist stranded in the middle lane of Interstate 70, causing critical injuries.

The accident occurred shortly after 8:30 p.m. in the westbound lanes, just past Manchester Trafficway. The westbound lanes are closed while emergency workers clear the scene.
