J. McLaughlin, a Brooklyn, New York-based women’s and men’s fashion retailer, plans to open on the Country Club Plaza this spring.

It will take a 1,277-square-foot space at 4703 Broadway.

The company was founded by then “20-something” brothers Kevin and Jay McLaughlin in New York in 1977 and now has 67 stores nationwide. Its brand of clothing is described as “classic and colorful” with unique patterns (print, embroidered or woven) and luxurious fabrics and inspired by America’s golden fashion periods from the Jazz Age to Camelot.
