When you venture into the blustery cold today, just remember that day. March 25 is when Fox Sports Kansas City will begin telecasts of Royals baseball.

The Royals and FSKC announced a 142-game television schedule for the 2013 season, featuring two exhibition games and 140 regular season games.

The roster of broadcasters should be familiar to fans. Ryan Lefebvre will call 90 regular-season games and one exhibition and Steve Physioc will provide the play-by-play on 50 games during the season and one exhibition.

Rex Hudler will return for his second season as the analyst and Royals’ Hall of Famer, Jeff Montgomery, will provide analysis throughout the season on “Royals Live” with host Joel Goldberg.

The 140-game regular-season television schedule will include 67 road games and 73 from Kauffman Stadium. Every game on FSKC will be preceded by a 30-minute pregame show, and followed with postgame show. All 140 regular-season telecasts will be presented in high definition.

FSKC’s coverage of the Royals begins with a spring training telecast from Surprise, Ariz., on March 25, when the Royals play host to the Los Angeles Angels at 8:05 p.m. A second exhibition game will be broadcast on March 27, when the Royals will play host to the Chicago Cubs, also at 8:05 p.m.

Naturally, the Royals’ opening-day game at Chicago on April 1 will be shown as well as the home opener April 8 against Minnesota.
