Gourmet burgers and craft beers will be among the menu items at The Burg & Barrel, set to open in Overland Park in mid-February.

Jake Chappelow, co-owner of Bar West in Shawnee and Conroy's Public House in Overland Park, and Amanda Chambers, who has been in the area restaurant and bar business for a dozen years, are partners in the new restaurant and pub which is opening in a space that formerly housed The Peanut on 76th at 7042 W. 76th St. The space is being extensively remodeled and will have a dozen beers on tap, including several beers by Boulevard Brewing Co. A Feb. 15 opening is planned.

The Burg & Barrel will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. serving lunch and dinner, along with a “hoppy” hour menu.
