Key stat: Alabama outrebounded Missouri 16-12.

Second half

•  Key play: After Alabama cut MU’s lead to six with 7 minutes left, a three-point play by center Alex Oriakhi gave the Tigers the momentum.

•  Key stat: Missouri was nine for 15 from three-point range.

Bell takes a seat

Despite starting, senior guard Keion Bell played only 4 minutes.

Freshman Negus Webster-Chan and junior Earnest Ross commandeered much of his playing time.

“We’ve got a number of guys, we’ve got competition,” Missouri coach Frank Haith said. “You’ve got to produce in terms of what we need you to do to help us win, and I felt like those other guys have us a better chance to win tonight (with) the energy I needed to see.”

• Former Missouri target Devonta Pollard – a five-star Class of 2012 recruit from Mississippi – got the start for Alabama and finished with 10 points and two rebounds.
