K-State senior Rodney McGruder was chosen Big 12 player of the week for the third time this season after scoring 26 second-half points in the Wildcats' win over Oklahoma State on Saturday.

McGruder's three Big 12 player of the week awards tie Michael Beasley (2007-08) for the most by a Wildcat in a single-season. McGruder scored 15 points and had a team-high nine rebounds in a 70-50 win over South Dakota last Monday and scored a game-high 28 points in the 73-67 win over Oklahoma State on Saturday. The Wildcats are 14-2 in games where McGruder has 20 or more points. The Wildcats, ranked 18th in this week's AP poll, face former coach Bob Huggins and West Virginia on Saturday in Morgantown.
