The Roadhouse Group is expanding its Westport offerings.

It has taken over the space at 4116 Pennsylvania Ave. formerly occupied by Sung Son, a Vietnamese Bistro, and has opened a new bar and restaurant there that is still waiting on a name. For now, the owners are trying out a few monikers on a chalkboard sign out front, like Fun Bar, or the latest name, The Liars Club. Roadhouse also owns and operates the Firefly Lounge next door.

Sung Son closed in mid-December. The owner, Sung Son, said sales had decreased in the last few years.

“I miss that place a lot. We had a lot of loyal customers who came over the 10 years,” he said. He had been looking for new owners to take over the space for about a year so he could open a smaller venue with lower rent.

He recently opened Sang Sang Asian Express at 10904 W. 75th, Shawnee. The fast casual operation offers dine-in and to-go items at lower prices.
