Man charged in incident that left KC cops with concussions

A Kansas City man is charged with assault after a fight Thursday morning that left two Kansas City police officers with concussions.

Emanuel D. Henderson, 42, is also charged with robbery for an earlier incident at 27th Street and Prospect Avenue. According to court documents, Henderson resisted arrest when officers responded to a burglary report in the 3700 block of Montgall Avenue. Witnesses said Henderson slammed a male officer to the ground and hit a female officer before he was subdued.

Previously, Henderson allegedly knocked a woman to the ground outside a store, put a gun in her face and demanded money.

Prosecutors requested a $100,000 bond.
