Grill Side Barbeque Dip

Move over, spinach-artichoke dip. This dip contains an almost irresistible savory combination of bacon, cheese and barbecue sauce that easily earns its place on the table for parties or snacking.
In a pot or skillet, saute 1 cup chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Drain grease and add 1/2 cup onion. Cook until onions are softened and then add 1/4 cup jalapeno peppers. Add an 8-ounce package of cream cheese, 2 tablespoons sour cream and 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese. Melt and stir until creamy. Mix in 3/4 cup Grill Side Barbeque Sauce or sauce of choice. Garnish with 1/4 cup chopped scallions and serve warm with pita bread or chips.
