Woman dies in Olathe accident

A 55-year-old woman was killed in an one-vehicle accident Sunday night in Olathe, police said Monday.

The accident was reported at 8:40 p.m. in the 11500 block of Ridgeview Road. Officers determined that the vehicle struck a light pole. No other vehicles were involved and there were no other occupants inside the vehicle.

The victim was rushed to the Overland Park Regional Medical Center, where she was later died. Her name has not been released.

Investigators are trying to determine if a prior medical condition contributed to the accident.
