Key play: With the Chiefs at the Colts’ 16, Jamaal Charles fumbled and the Colts recovered.

Key stat: The Chiefs had 245 first half yards, but only three points.

Third quarter

Key play: Jamaal Charles ran 86 yards for a touchdown on the first snap of the period to cut Kansas City’s deficit to 13-10.

Key stat: The Chiefs had the ball for more than 9½ minutes.

Fourth quarter

Key play: With the score tied, Brady Quinn was stuffed for no gain on fourth and one from the Indy 27.

Key stat: The Chiefs punted with 2:39 remaining and never got the ball back.

A second 200-plus yard game for Jamaal Charles and his third TD of 80 yards or more.

The Chiefs were minus-3 in turnovers against a playoff team and were still in the game in the fourth quarter.
