The Royals’ new guys will get a chance to introduce themselves to fans when they hit town for the 2013 FanFest.

Pitchers James Shields, Wade Davis and Ervin Santana will be joining other Royals players for the event on Jan. 19 at the Overland Park Convention Center.

There will be autograph sessions with current and former players throughout the day, and the team’s 2012 award winners (Alcides Escobar, Greg Holland and Billy Butler) will also be recognized during the event, which goes from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Royals marathon on Christmas Eve

Tired of watching reruns of “A Christmas Story”? How about some baseball? Fox Sports Kansas City will replay five of the best Royals games of 2012 on Christmas Eve. The marathon will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 24 with a season review, and each game will be condensed into a two-hour window. The lineup:

1 p.m.: Yankees at Royals, May 3: Royals take 4-1 lead behind Danny Duffy and hold on for 4-3 win.

3 p.m.: Brewers at Royals, June 14: Speedy Jarrod Dyson scores winning run in ninth for Royals sweep.

5 p.m.: Royals at Cardinals, June 17: Billy Butler’s pinch-hit home run ties game in ninth as Royals win in 15 innings.

7 p.m.: White Sox at Royals, Aug. 19: Jeremy Guthrie pitches a gem and carries no-hit bid into seventh inning.

9 p.m.: Tigers at Royals, Aug. 28: Royals score eight runs against Justin Verlander.
