Grand opening for new SPCA shelter in Johnson County

The new Great Plains SPCA shelter invites you to bring your pets and your family to its grand opening today and Sunday.

The non-profit shelter has moved from its longtime home near 67th Street and Interstate 35 to 5424 Antioch Drive in Merriam. The shelter will be open for tours and a celebration from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and Sunday. Adoptions are half price. To learn more go to www.greatplainsspca.org.
